Spring Bud Earrings
I made these during a winter storm in late March when the hope of spring disappeared in the snow. With optimism that winter will once again turn into spring, I went to my studio and created this pair of earrings. Citron chrysoprase stones are set in sterling silver with hand fabricated copper buds emerging from the silver stems that hug the teardrop shaped stone. They length is approximately 1 3/4” from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the bud. The width is approximately 5/8.” Each earring weighs .22 ounces.
